Galicia begins its second de-escalation.

For this, the advisory committee has approved a system of restrictions by levels, linked to the epidemiological situation of each municipality.

The plan includes four levels of limitations and implies the reopening of the hotel industry, closed since November 4, in all areas, as explained this Wednesday by the president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

In addition, it has reported that it will ask the Government to close the border with Portugal during the Constitution Bridge.

Feijóo has transferred that the measures for Christmas will not be fixed at the moment although he has already advanced that his intention is to limit the meetings based on family units, instead of the number of people and will not count children in the count.

In any case, the committee will not rule on all the measures until it knows the epidemiological situation, which may change in the coming weeks.

All the measures provided for in the four levels of limitations will take effect from 00:00 on Friday, so that the areas that improve their situation until that day may relax the limitations.

The classification criteria of the municipalities will be linked, among other aspects, to the number of inhabitants and the accumulated incidence.

In all cases, the business will have a capacity of 50% inside and the curfew will remain at 23.00.

The president of the Xunta has insisted that the situation in Galicia is better than that of the rest of Spain.

The community has 7,537 active cases of coronavirus and a hospital occupancy of 5.3% in the ward and 8.7% in ICU beds.

The Galician Health Service has reported 10 new deaths this Tuesday, which means that autonomy reaches 1,221 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
