Hong Kong: Joshua Wong sentenced to 13.5 months in prison

Joshua Wong, one of Hong Kong's best-known pro-democracy activists, was sentenced to 13.5 months in prison for leading an illegal demonstration in front of the former British colony's police headquarters in 2019. (HANDLE)


Joshua Wong, one of Hong Kong's best-known pro-democracy activists, was sentenced to 13.5 months in prison for leading an illegal demonstration in front of the former British colony's police headquarters in 2019.

According to local media, two other activists, Agnes Chow and Ivan Lam, were also sentenced to 10 and 7 months in prison respectively.
