Some 123 classes and 10 schools are currently closed due to cases of Covid-19, the Ministry of National Education said on Friday.
Figures down compared to last week: last week, official figures reported 135 classes and 23 schools closed.
In detail, 8 schools (out of 50,100) are currently closed, as well as two colleges (out of 7,200).
None of the 4200 high schools is affected.
Some 123 classes are therefore closed (out of 528,400), or 0.02% of the total.

Regarding contamination, it is decreasing among students, with 5,128 young people in school identified positive for Covid-19, against 7,776 last week (out of 12.4 million in France).
On the staff side, official figures also show a decrease, with 748 cases against 1,020 last Friday (out of a total of 1.16 million).
Faced with the worsening of the Covid-19 epidemic and an incipient grumbling, the Minister of Education announced in early November a strengthening of the health protocol in high school with courses in shifts or in half-groups.
