Covid: positive and deaths drop, but 30 thousand fewer tampons

There are 12,756 positive cases for the coronavirus swab in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. The victims are 499. Yesterday the positives and the victims were, respectively, 14. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 09 - There are 12,756 positive cases of coronavirus in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The victims are 499.


   Yesterday the positives and the victims were, respectively, 14,842 and 634, both figures are therefore decreasing, but compared to 118,475 swabs carried out, over 30,000 less than yesterday.

The positivity rate is 10.8%, up 0.8% compared to yesterday.

In total in Italy the cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 1,770,149, 61,739 dead.


    There are 3,320 patients in intensive care, a decrease of 25 units compared to yesterday. The entrances to resuscitation in the last 24 hours were 152, again according to data from the Ministry of Health. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 29,653, 428 in numbers compared to yesterday. There are 677,542 people in home isolation (-26,557 compared to yesterday). The currently positive ones are 710,515 (-27,010), the recovered and discharged 997,895 (+39.266).


    Veneto is once again in first place for coronavirus positive buffers in the 24 hours: they are 2,427 against 1,361 in Campania, 1,297 in Lazio, 1,233 in Lombardy, 1,079 in Emilia Romagna; under one thousand Piedmont with 906 cases, also overtaken by Puglia which records 917. (ANSA).
