Steeve Bonnet enhances the taste of his pizzas with CBD flower.
The owner of the Authentique pizzeria in Nice, made this idea a reality last week by replacing the traditional oregano with hemp flower powder.
The success was immediate: he sold 200 CBD pizzas in one week, or four times the sales for his thematic pizza of the week.
Steeve now offers this ingredient on all his compositions, for a supplement of 3 euros.
The pizza maker usually offers an original pizza each week at 12.50 euros, with seasonal ingredients, called “The pizza maker mood”.
The choice fell, this time on the CBD flower, "because it's trendy, it brings a floral side and replaces oregano, which I don't put on my pizzas" , explains the restaurateur.

"The product is completely legal, since 2018 the sale of CBD has been authorized in France, and recently there is a case law on its authorization in food," says Steeve Bonnet.
French regulations authorize the marketing of CBD provided that the rate of THC, the psychotropic substance in hemp, does not exceed 0.2%.
“Our supplier (CBD Shop, editor's note) has guaranteed us a quality product that does not exceed this rate,” assures the pizza maker, who sees his creation as a way to innovate.
“The goal, he assumes, is to arouse the interest of customers!
