A twist to the mystery: a mysterious monolith who appeared and was colored gold - is he the "one who controls everyone"?
The gilded monolith is the eighth monument to appear in various parts of the world in recent weeks without any explanation.
The seven that have already appeared (and some have disappeared in the meantime) have caused confusion and panic around the world as to their origin.
It is now clear that this is an ongoing trend - and there are also those who take responsibility for (part of it)

Monolith found in Utah Red Desert (Utah Department of Public Safety / reuters)
A mysterious gold-colored monolith appeared this week in Colombia and once again piqued the curiosity of surfers who follow the phenomenon of mysterious monoliths popping up in bizarre places around the world.
This is the eighth building (though there may be even more) of its kind that has appeared in recent weeks, with the others appearing in Utah, Pennsylvania, Atscadro (California), Joshua Terry National Park (California), the Isle of Wight in England, Romania and the Netherlands.
The recent monolith has left many around the world worried about its meaning since its color is gold, unlike the silver ones.
Fans of conspiracy theories are now wondering if there is a connection between him and the other monoliths and he is the "master" who controls the rest.
The golden monolith was discovered in the Chia municipality in the province of Kondinmarca, in central Colombia.
He was found standing in an open area with no trace of how he got there.
Unlike the other monoliths that appeared and disappeared a few days later, it still stands in its place - but its fate may be the same as theirs.
Local authorities have not yet commented on the mysterious structure.

Here is the gilded monolith that appeared in Colombia
The mysterious monolithic mystery discovered in the middle of the desert has been solved - and then it suddenly disappears
The first monolith
The first monolith is the one that appeared in a desert in southeastern Utah, found by a Utah Public Safety Department (DPS) scanning team.
Lt. Nick Street, a DPS spokesman, told the Times that authorities are confident the building is someone's art installation, or attempt to do so.
There has been a lot of speculation on the net about the origin of the monolith, as many have toyed with the idea that these are aliens responsible for it.
Others have argued that the building sits close to Canyonlands National Park so it may be a remnant of Hollywood scenery.
There were also some art lovers who claimed that it was the work of John McCracken, an American minimalist sculptor who specialized in flat sculptures that were usually composed of a single, monochromatic panel, leaning against a wall.
Art Gallery spokesman David Zweirner said it may have been the work of an artist in tribute to McCracken.
David Zverner later tweeted a picture of what looks like an almost identical sculpture found in a gallery in New York - which reinforces the hypothesis that it was the work of John McCracken or an imitator - although it is not clear how it reached the middle of the desert.
What has intensified the mystery is a report by the Land Management Bureau that the monolith disappeared from the scene after being taken by "unknown sources" on November 27, with only rocks left to mark where it stood.
After the appearance of the first monolith and its disappearance, various monoliths suddenly began to appear around the world, most of them in remote places, except for the monolith in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which appeared outside a candy store.

Now there are those who take responsibility - at least for some of them
A group of artists based in New Mexico, USA, seems to have taken credit for some of the mysterious monoliths - the ones that appeared in the US at least, but the others still remain a mystery.
They posted a picture of the piece from Utah with a $ 45,000 price tag and proved it was in their hands.
In response to a structure set off on the Isle of Wight, group founder artist Matty Moe declined to take credit, saying: "The monolith is out of my control at this point. Good luck to all the aliens working hard around the world to spread the myth."
On the monoliths in the U.S. he added: “I can not say much, but we are known for stunts of this kind, and at this point we offer authentic artefacts using monoliths as a public service.
"What better way to end this fucking year than to let the world think for a moment that aliens contacted us only to be disappointed that it's just 'the most famous artist' (Mattie Mo's second name) playing his tricks again."
