Elimelech Kesheti storm continues:

Thousands of angry reactions flooded the network about Kesheti's casting of "Big Brother".

The tenant is expected to appear in a trial for assaulting the elderly man in about a month.

In addition, there are growing calls for a boycott of the season.

Among the thousands of shocked respondents are also quite a few celebrities.

"Big Brother" barely closes a week before it airs, and in the background is one of the greatest dramas the reality show has ever known.

Elimelech Keshti, the brother of Tom Keshti and a cousin of Priscilla Keshti, entered the fireplace house as a tenant, with in the background a lawsuit against him and Tom against an elderly security guard about a year ago.

On Sunday, we published a column by Israel Today entertainment reporter Eran Suissa about the affair, which as expected touched the bare nerves of thousands of surfers and soon garnered hundreds of angry reactions that joined a huge wave of criticism of the show's production and casting, including calls to boycott the season.

As is known, Elimelech was supposed to appear in court this week, but the court granted his request to postpone the hearing and he stayed at the "Big Brother" house.

"Shame on the network that they brought him into the house even though they knew that criminal proceedings were being conducted against him for assaulting an elderly person. The audience must 'punish' the network. I hope this season there will be zero ratings and so on for future network plans," the angry response said.

• Haim Cohen: "One day we will understand where the politics here and this is very sad"

Other responses that received a lot of sympathy: "Get him out regardless. If he was able to hit a person who could be his grandfather, I do not know what he would be able to do inside the house";

"A bizarre justice system, but it's not new";

"Shame on the justice system. To postpone a trial because the master in 'Big Brother'. Shame that such a person was cast. What does this say about us as a society?";

"There is no sacred cow whose net has not been slaughtered this year";

"Tired of seeing my archer family in the headlines. Stop giving them a stage";

"Boycott this trash can program until it's out of the house";

"This family does what they want and does not take any responsibility. It is always someone else's fault."

Among the thousands of respondents to the column were quite a few celebs who shared Suissa's words on social accounts and expressed deep shock at the case, including Lucy Aharish, Shani Goldstein, Maya Wertheimer, Asif Elkayam, Naama Kasri and many more.

"Shame," Kasri wrote.

"Respect for adults is the basis of every person's education. This is how I was raised and this is how I raise my children. It is not at all relevant what the reason for this violence is. It is forbidden to stage or restrain such an event. He is lucky I do not judge the trial."

"Eran Suissa wrote an opinion column that I had to share," Wertheimer shared.

"It hurts me that the production of Big Brother gives a stage to this thing."

Danit Greenberg, who also shared the column, received an angry backlash from Elimelech's brother, Tom.

"It is not us he has to convince, but the court," Asif Elkayam wrote in response to another post published by Suissa, in which Tom Keshti provided an explanation for the incident from his point of view, claiming that they were the ones attacked and that he himself reconciled with the guard that day.

"A person facing a criminal trial should not celebrate life in the Big Brother house, but rather give an account to the justice system," Elkayam continued, "and in general, this family produces cultural heroes with sucked-up excuses.

A woman who crushes, kills and abandons a man and goes out in a limousine as if she should not be ashamed for the rest of her life, and a sturdy man who is a hero to the elderly.

Even if the court determines that he is entitled (which is unlikely), he rejects me. "In response, Elkayam was answered by" Big Brother "graduate Dudu Cohen, who wrote:" What is closed.

stop judging.

You may be right, but the currency has two sides. "

In November 2019, an indictment was filed against Elimelech and Tom Keshti, after allegedly raping an elderly security guard at the City Building in Ramat Gan.

The case was recorded on the building's security cameras and serves as a key evidence in their trial, which was expected, as stated, to open this week.

Following an appeal by Keshti's defense counsel, a postponement to the opening date of the trial was approved, with the new date set being January 11th.

Here you can read our interview with the injured senior: "Do not understand why they are trying to dwarf it."

The network response could not be obtained by the time the news was published.
