The entry into force of a nighttime curfew on Tuesday will officially mark the end of confinement ... and therefore of the travel certificate in its current form.
"During the day, from December 15, the certificate will no longer be required to travel," announced the Prime Minister.
Travel between regions will be possible.
It will nevertheless be necessary to be able to justify its movements during the curfew, which will come into force on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Some exceptions are in fact provided for, such as travel between home and work.
For these exemptions, a new certificate will be created, indicated the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.
Without proof, anyone will risk a fine of 135 euros, warned the minister.

"The game is far from won", warned the Prime Minister at the start of this press briefing, before announcing the establishment of a curfew and the prolonged closure of cultural spaces.
"The number of new contaminations is no longer reduced and it has even tended to increase again for a few days", observed Jean Castex.
The Head of State had conditioned phase 2 of deconfinement, after the reopening of shops at the end of November, on several criteria, including the threshold of 5,000 cases detected per day.
However, even if the peak of 60,000 cases of the second wave, at the end of October-beginning of November, is far away, the objective is moving a little further each day: 14,595 positive cases were recorded on Wednesday.
