Coronavirus in Argentina: another 98 deaths and 3,213 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours

Buenos Aires (870) and Santa Fe (632) continue to be the ones that report the most infections on a daily basis. The City had 246 cases.

The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported

3,213 new cases of coronavirus and 98 deaths

(48 men and 49 women and one person listed without sex) reported in the last 24 hours due to the disease. 

The number of deceased persons is 40,766

.

"There are 1,498,160 positives in the country, of which 1,335,317 are recovered patients and 122,077 are confirmed active cases," they reported in a statement.


In addition, they reported that in the last 24 hours "21,793 tests were carried out and since the beginning of the outbreak, 4,259,194 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 93,862 samples per million inhabitants."

, head of the Argentine Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (AAAeIC), assured that allergy sufferers "do not make up a risk group for Covid-19."

"Hypersensitivity to drugs such as a vaccine is considered among the adverse reactions as an unpredictable reaction," he said and said that the population that could be affected by vaccines "would be a small group of between 1 to 4% of the population."

"At the beginning of the pandemic, it was thought that those who suffered from bronchial asthma were, but later, with more accurate data, it was concluded that well-controlled bronchial asthma is not a factor that exacerbates the coronavirus," he told Télam.
