American Alice Mckenney in 1.46.78 was the fastest in the first test in view of the two cdm descents scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Val d'Isere and followed on Sunday by a super-G. Second is her compatriot Breezey Jonhson (+13) but the blue Sofia Goggia (+26) ex aequo with the Norwegian Lie Kajsa is excellent third.
For Italy there are then further back Elena Curtoni ninth and a delay of 77 cents followed immediately after the Marta Bassino (+78). Federica Brignone posted a gap of 1.79.
The US champion Mikaela Shiffrin, on the other hand, was absent and at the moment she chose to focus on technical disciplines.
