The Covid-19 vaccine plan is ready.

Before the New Year there will be the first limited series of vaccinations.

Mass vaccination itself will begin in January.

To begin with, over 1.8 million doses will be delivered by Pfizer, after the authorization of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and then of the Italian one, Aifa, expected next week, in record time.

The vaccination plan presented by Commissioner

Domenico Arcuri

was approved by the State-Regions Conference and the first batches of doses were assigned to the latter, Lombardy, the epicenter of the pandemic in Italy with almost 305,000 vials, followed by Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Piedmont and Veneto.

Arcuri will send the Regions an 'instruction booklet' for the vaccine and all the instructions for the administration procedure.

In the first delivery Pfizer will send 1,833,975 doses of the vaccine, in the second, a few weeks later, over two and a half million.

In the first phase, public and private health and social health workers will be vaccinated, as well as guests and staff of residences for the elderly.

In the second phase of the campaign there will be a recall for the first vaccinated and doses will begin to be administered to the most fragile categories.

In Italy there are 22 Ult (Ultra-low temperature) points and, according to the Vaccine Plan, they will become 289 after 7 January.
