British supermodel Stella Tennant has committed suicide - her family confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) in a statement given to the British Telegraph magazine.
Last month it was reported that Tenant passed away a few days after celebrating her 50th birthday, but the cause of death was not given.
Now her family is dispelling the fog around her death and revealing that she has been dealing with mental health issues.
Tennant left behind a husband, David Lesent, four children, a couple of parents - Tobias and Lady Emma, a brother and sister.
"We cherish the warm responses and empathy we have received since Stella passed away," the family said in a statement.
"She was a beautiful soul, revered by her family and close friends. A sensitive, talented and intelligent woman, whose humor touched a lot of people."
It added: "Stella has not felt well for some time, despite the love of those close to her, she just felt she could not continue."
The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

Tennant's roots are especially privileged.
Stella's maternal grandfather is Andrew Cavendish, Duke of Devonshire 11, who served as a minister in the early 1960s in the government of Harold McMillan (who was his uncle).
Stella's maternal grandmother, Duchess Deborah Mitford, is a descendant of the noble Mitford family, which dates back to the 11th century and is one of the "Mitford sisters" - known in the last century as prominent social women thanks to personal and political ties.
In 1998 she officially retired from the world of modeling and shortly afterwards married French photographer David LeSent, and they had four children.
