This is what emerges from the tax return published on the Senate website, where the assets of the members of the government who are not parliamentarians appear.

In 2018, Conte's income (who took up the post of government on June 1) amounted to € 1,155,229, while that of 2017, when Conte was still "only" a lawyer and a teacher, was € 370,314 .

Parliamentarians and government members, by law, must communicate their income tax returns to their respective Chambers, which are published on the websites of the Chamber and Senate. The statements of ministers who are not parliamentarians are published on the Palazzo Madama website. This is a work not yet complete, which will end in the coming weeks when all the interested parties will communicate their financial situation. For example, the 2020 tax returns (relating to 2019 income) of ministers Gaetano Manfredi, Teresa Bellanova, Nunzia Catalfo and Paola De Micheli have not yet been published. As for the other ministers at the top of the ranking is Luciana Lamorgese, with the taxable income as prefect (up to the oath as Minister) which stands at 228,494 euros. Followed by the holder of the Defense, Lorenzo Guerini, with 128,687 euros, while over 100,000 euros is Roberto Gualtieri: for him 78,760 euros received by MEP, until 30 September, to which must be added 31,874 euros of income declared to the Italian tax authorities. All the other ministers are below the 100,000 euro threshold. Luigi Di Maio, Fabiana Dadone and Francesco Boccia had a taxable income of 98,471 euros, Vincenzo Spadafora of 97,223 euros, Lucia Azzolina of 95,075 euros, Alfonso Bonafede of 93,436 euros and Giuseppe Provenzano of 90,474 euros.
