According to the update provided by the ministry, as of 12:30 there are also 301 patients in moderate condition in Israel and 376 in mild condition, so that a total of 1,758 patients are hospitalized in the corona wards of the hospitals.

We further updated that 276 of the patients are breathing and 22 others are connected to cardiopulmonary machines.

Since the beginning of the month, 1,417 new patients in critical or critical condition have been hospitalized in Israel.

By comparison, each December, a total of 1,875 patients in a similar condition were hospitalized.

The death toll from the virus in Israel also shows no signs of slowing down, with 368 people dying since the beginning of the month.

In the whole of last month, a total of 481 corona patients died.

In addition, as of 12:30 today, eight people had died from the virus - with 30 patients dying from it yesterday.

In addition to the follow-up data on corona patients, the Ministry of Health also provided an update on the data of the vaccinated.

To date, 1,854,358 humans have received the first dose of vaccine for corona.

In the age range 69-60, 21,982 Tel Aviv residents have been vaccinated so far.

In Holon we vaccinated 10,559 people, in Be'er Sheva 11,615, in Eilat 3,069 and in Kiryat Shmona 1,947.

Comparing this age range between the Arab and ultra-Orthodox sectors, a sample of several localities shows that the number of vaccinators among the Arabs is higher - in Kfar Qassem we vaccinated 453 people, in Baqa al-Gharbiya 875 people and in Taibeh 726. In Bnei Brak we have vaccinated 3,719 people so far. The numbers are lower in localities such as Modi'in Illit (255 vaccines) and Elad (279 vaccines).

In total, about 72% of those aged 60 and over in Israel were vaccinated and about 80% of those aged 70 and over.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein today inaugurated the teaching staff vaccination campaign at an event held at the National Health Fund in Ashdod.

The first vaccinated person at the event, which was also attended by Mayor Yehiel Lasri, was Etty Shemesh, the principal of Comprehensive H Middle School in the city, who has 28 years of experience in the education system.

"We are in the second wave of the arrival of vaccines that will last all week, there is no shortage of vaccines in Israel," Minister Edelstein said at the event.

"In the immunization of teaching staff, it is important to protect the educational staff and also to prevent isolations that have burdened the system."

Edelstein added that despite the high number of vaccinators, there is a wave of illness that worries him greatly: "The closure should give its positive results within a few days, but it will only happen if there is cooperation. Together we can return to life before most countries."
