(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 16 - From the early hours of tomorrow, the formation of a minimum depression on the Ligurian Gulf, a gradual transfer to the southern Tyrrhenian, will determine a substantial increase in ventilation, first on Sardinia, in extension to the southern Tyrrhenian regions. At the same time, The call of colder air from the Balkans will bring local snows over the central-southern regions, up to hilly altitudes inserted on the middle Adriatic side.


   Based on the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department predicts from the early hours of tomorrow strong winds from north-western storms, with gusts up to storms, on Sardinia, in extension to Sicily and Southern Calabrian, with storm surges on the exposed coasts.


    From tomorrow afternoon, scattered snowfalls are expected above 600-800 meters in Basilicata and Calabria, with generally moderate contributions to the ground and in the evening above 200-400 meters on Marche, Abruzzo and Molise, in extension to Puglia, with contributions to the generally weak soil.
