(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 16 - There are 16,310 swabs (including antigenic tests, counted since yesterday) positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Health Minister.
The victims are 475. Yesterday there were 16,146 new cases and 477 victims.
A total of 260,704 tests were carried out, yesterday they were 273,506.
The positivity rate is 6.3%, up from 5.9% yesterday (+ 0.4%).
In total, 2,368,733 cases since the beginning of the epidemic, 81,800 deaths.
The currently positive are 557,717 (-351), healed and discharged 1,729,216 (+16,186), in home isolation there are 532,413 people (-292).
Intensive care patients are down by 2 units, in the daily balance between entrances and exits.
There are 170 daily admissions. In total, 2,520 people are hospitalized in intensive care.
Patients in the medical area are instead down by 57 units compared to yesterday, bringing the total to 22,784.
The regions with the highest number of daily positive tampons, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are: Lombardy 2.134, Sicily 1.954, Veneto 1.929, Emilia Romagna1.674, Lazio 1.282, Campania 1.132.
