A 47-year-old man, a Corona patient with many background illnesses, was hospitalized in the Corona Intensive Care Unit in Ichilov in critical condition.

His condition deteriorated during the afternoon to a state of initial resuscitation and despite the efforts of the doctors he passed away a few hours later.

An initial investigation conducted during the Sabbath by the hospital management revealed that the ventilator to which the patient was connected had been torn out of place, without the medical staff recognizing it in time but only after a few minutes.

Ichilov Hospital's response: "The hospital management has opened an investigation into the unusual incident and will draw the necessary conclusions. The hospital has updated the family on the details of the incident and is participating in the heavy mourning."
