Now it’s official: After nearly half a year in which the world pretended not to know, Justin Timberlake confirmed that he and his actress wife Jessica Bale have indeed added another offspring to their family and even revealed his name.

Timberlake, 39, appeared for a virtual interview on Alan DeGeneres' show today (Monday), sharing the talk show host and tens of millions of viewers on behalf of his second son, a little brother to five-year-old eldest Silas.

"He's awesome and so cute," he recounted, and DeGeneres reminded him of how he revealed Bale's second pregnancy when the two talked to each other on Facebook, a pregnancy kept secret until the moment of birth that was only officially confirmed for the first time just now.

"You were among the first people outside the immediate family we told her about," Timberlake said and then agreed to reveal the baby's name: Phineas.

"We are in the clouds and could not be happier. No one is sleeping," he added with a smile.

Bale, 38, and Timberlake married in 2012.
