Covid: intensive care and hospitalization drop, 603 still dead

(ANSA) - ROME, 19 JAN - There are 10,497 tests (molecular and antigenic) positive for coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The positivity rate is 4.1%, down from 5.6% yesterday (-1.5%).


    Intensive care patients decreased by 57 units, in the daily balance between admissions and exits.

There are 176 daily admissions to intensive care. A total of 2,487 people are now hospitalized in intensive care.

Patients in the medical area - ordinary wards, hospitalized with symptoms - are down 185 units compared to yesterday, bringing the total to 22,699.


    The currently positive are 535,524 (-11,535 compared to yesterday), the recovered and discharged 1,781,917 (+21,428), in the home isolation there are 510,338 (-11,293).


    In total, there have been 2,400,598 cases since the beginning of the epidemic, 83,157 levittime.


    The regions with the highest number of positive tests for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are: Sicily 1,641, Lazio 1,100, Emilia Romagna 1,034.


   All the other regions and autonomous provinces are below the thousand or one hundred cases, up to the 18 daily cases of Molise which closes the ranking.
