(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 20 - The Antitrust Authority has imposed a fine of 12.5 million euros on Enel Energia, ServizioElettrico Nazionale (SEN) and Eni gas and light, after having "ascertained the unjustified rejection of the two-year prescription requests submitted by users, due to the late billing of electricity and gas consumption, in the absence of suitable elements to demonstrate that the delay was due to the responsibility of the consumers ". The companies charged users with the responsibility for not reading the meters in front of the reading attempts declared by the distributor; never attempts were not documented or even denied (ANSA).
