"Democracy has won," he said in his inaugural speech at the gates of the Capitol.
During the investiture ceremony, singer Jennifer Lopez performed the song
This Land Is Your Land
, one of the most popular folk music songs in America, written by Woody Guthrie.

It is the first time that this oath has been pronounced in a language other than English at a presidential inauguration ceremony.
This speech was written in 1892 as part of the celebrations for the 400 years of the discovery of the American continent.
During the Donald Trump administration, the Latino community in the United States did not have any representation in the cabinet.
Additionally, the official page of the Government disappeared its version in Spanish, as well as its representations in this language on social networks.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in this country, with more than 43.2 million native speakers, only below English.
Spanish is the official language of Puerto Rico, a nation associated with the United States and the place of origin of Jennifer Lopez's parents.
