How to ripen an avocado in 10 minutes?

(TheSubstanceProject)

A mother from Australia unveiled a way to ripen avocados in just 10 minutes.

She turned to Facebook where she said that one evening she found out that although she has a taco for dinner but she does not have an avocado due to making guacamole for it and had to think of a quick solution.

She remembered an old tip for quick avocado ripening in the oven, figured out how to do it and then did a trick to upgrade to 2021 that helped her ripen the hard avocado in 10 minutes and without getting it browned.

She presented her solution in a post on a popular Australian Facebook page for recipes and said she took the avocado and wrapped it in foil.

In the original ripening trick at this point she was supposed to put it in the oven on a low heat of 90 degrees for 10 minutes, but she instead took a gamble and put it in her air fryer (oil-free frying pan) at 200 degrees for 10 minutes and the result was, she said , Avocado ripe and ready to mash.

The mother, whose name was not released in the Australian media, admitted: "It does change its taste and texture a bit and I would recommend you give it some cooling time in the fridge right after heating, but it works beautifully."

She also admits that it is always better to use avocado that has ripened naturally, but in emergencies this trick is very useful.

We have already unveiled this great trick in 2016 but it is always good to remember it again.

Her post received hundreds of encouraging comments as many wondered what the avocado looked like from the inside after heating it in the oven and she assured that it was still green on the inside.

Others said it was also a good way to ripen bananas and one surfer claimed that avocados can also be ripened in the microwave: "Do not use foil. Put it in the microwave for 10 to 30 seconds and it will do a similar job."

Others shared another trick for avocado (relatively) quick ripening - putting it in a brown paper bag along with an apple or banana.

He will enjoy the natural ethane gas they release - which also happens to be the plant hormone that causes it to ripen.

In this method the avocado will ripen in three or four days instead of a week.
