Lady Gaga performed the American national anthem on the steps of the Capitol on the occasion of the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States.
The singer opened the ceremony, before Joe Biden's left hand on the Bible was sworn in as George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy did before him.
"I solemnly swear that I will faithfully perform the duties of President of the United States and that I will do my best to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," he declared on the steps of the Capitol.
Lady Gaga had supported Joe Biden in his run for the White House. The artist had even already performed at the last big democratic meeting. When Joe Biden was Barack Obama's vice president, they had already worked together on a campaign against sexual harassment.
