Russian police last night arrested some collaborators of opposition leader Alexiei Navalny.

According to the online media Meduza, in Moscow the agents arrested the dissident's spokesperson, Kira Yarmish, and Gheorghi Alburov, who works for the investigative department of the Navalny Anti-Corruption Foundation.

There were also arrests in other areas of Russia: among those arrested are Anastasia Panchenko, coordinator of the Navalny activists in the Krasnodar region, and a volunteer of the opponent in Kaliningrad.

Gheorghi Alburov - Meduza always writes - was stopped at the Leningradsky railway station in Moscow and taken to the police station.

When the police showed up at Kira Yarmish's home, Navalny's spokesperson did not open the door for the officers, but they stopped her after her lawyer arrived.

The cops would then search the apartment.

According to the Tass agency, Alburov and Yarmish were arrested for inciting unauthorized demonstrations.

Protests are expected tomorrow against the arrest of Navalny, who was stopped as soon as he set foot in Russia after a poisoning suspected by the Russian secret services.

Yesterday the police had already arrested one of Navalny's closest collaborators: the lawyer of the Anti-Corruption Fund, Liubov Sobol, known for being one of the leading figures in the 2019 anti-government protests. Another employee of the Anti-Corruption Fund, Vladlen Los, a Belarusian citizen , announced that Moscow authorities ordered him to leave Russia by January 25 and forbade him to return to the country for nearly three years, until November 27, 2023.

Meanwhile

, Navalny's lawyer, Olga Mikhailova, denounces that the Russian opponent is not being delivered letters in the

Matrosskaya Tishina prison, where he has been locked up since January 18: "He has not received any letters, none, meetings with family members and deliveries are prohibited. of objects, this because of the pandemic ", explained the lawyer, according to which Navalny" is in an information vacuum ".

On 20 January it was announced that "for technical reasons" in the prison where Navalny is located they had stopped accepting correspondence for the detainees.

On the same day, Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya, had let it be known on Instagram that on January 19 she had been informed that a letter from her had been given to her husband but that subsequently the prison service had let her know that in reality the letter was not it had been delivered and was "being processed".
