Bernie Sanders said he was "amused" by the photo of him sitting with mittens at the oath by Joe Biden, an image that went viral and a source of creative inspiration on social media. For the socialist senator from Vermont, however, "it was not only fun, but also good".
The former presidential candidate has decided to use it on T-shirts and sweatshirts to sell as part of his campaign, with 100% of the proceeds going to Vermont charities against hunger, such as 'Meals on Wheels' which supports low-income seniors. 'Bernie' expects to raise at least a couple of million dollars.
