The cast of guests at the Sanremo festival (2-6 March) is enriched with some of the most intense female voices in Italian music: Giorgia and Ornella Vanoni.
Vanoni, who in these days is about to release the new album Unica, will in all likelihood be among the protagonists of the final Saturday evening, with a special tribute to her career by Amadeus.
Giorgia has recently appeared on Rai1, guest of one of the most exciting performances of the show La musica che gira circa led by Fiorella Mannoia: and it is not excluded that Mannoia may also be at the Ariston.
"We have to do this Sanremo with the same spirit as last year. We put together a very nice show, even if historically the moment is different, more difficult. But I think that people at home will spend five wonderful evenings".
It is with this spirit that Amadeus is preparing for the 2021 Festival, scheduled from 2 to 6 March.
This was explained by the same artistic director and presenter, who spoke in connection with Fiorello at Che tempo che fa on Rai3.
The Ariston, Fiorello pointed out, "will no longer be a theater, but a television studio. From paying audience to paid audience it's a moment ... We will have the same audience as There is mail for you, they will be the same".
The showman also joked about 2021 as the year of the "end of his career, because of Amadeus who will lead me to ruin. One day he calls me and says: let's put the whole audience in a ship. Then he calls me back and says: let's put the public in a greenhouse. This morning he told me: think if I get sick before leaving and Sanremo do it yourself ".
'Ama' echoed: "We are very careful: masks, vitamins, also because I am a bit hypochondriac. In the morning I go out to go to work hoping that nothing will happen. But if a few days before I were infected a few days earlier , the festival you have to do alone ... I know you are anxious ".
And 'Ciuri': "I have not yet decided whether to come, I will decide at the last minute: I will be your Ciampolillo".
With the facade of the Ariston theater covering the entire background on the studio, Vincenzo Mollica, who will turn 68 on January 27, also intervened: "We could put a fixed screen on the balcony with Vincenzo connected from home", suggested Fiorello, paying homage to the journalist of Tg1 who for more than twenty years has been the 'preview' of the evenings of the Festival from the balcony of the theater.
The showman launched Mollica's candidacy as senator for life: "Today - he joked - senators for life are extremely influential, we saw it in the recent government crisis: think today how many phone calls you would receive".
In closing, Amadeus stressed that within the festival "all the rules of the health protocol will be respected and there will be room for the vaccination campaign, the only weapon we have against the virus".
