The trial against several alleged supporters of the right-wing extremist »Freital Group« has begun in Dresden.
At the start at the Higher Regional Court, the two men and a woman admitted "the allegations in full".
The 56-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man from Freital and a 51-year-old from Schwepnitz have to answer before the State Security Senate for supporting a terrorist organization.
Paving stones and explosives
In connection with the attack on a left-wing residential project in Dresden, the public prosecutor's office accuses the older man of further criminal acts: causing an explosive explosion, dangerous bodily harm and attempting to damage property.
The joint attack with neo-Nazis of the terror group “Freie Kameradschaft Dresden” on the Dresden housing project “Deficiency Economy” in the night of October 19, 2015 aimed to put the residents “in fear and terror” and to make the house uninhabitable, he said Representative of the Attorney General.
The 51-year-old Torsten L. was one of those who threw paving stones and explosives on the building, said Thomas Fischer from the Attorney General's office.
The explosives were made from illegal pyrotechnics and partly with butyric acid, one of them exploded in the kitchen on the first floor, two meters next to a resident.
"He is very ashamed of his behavior today"
L. admitted the charges according to his lawyer in principle.
However, he had not thrown any stone or anything and brought no objects with him.
However, he had endorsed the act "and made himself legally punishable there, even without throwing a stone."
His behavior resulted from personal frustration at the threat of job loss and the "diffuse talk" that surrounded him as a steward at the Dynamo Dresden soccer club.
"Today he is very ashamed of his behavior and his inhuman remarks."
L. was a member of the so-called black chat, in which, according to the indictment, "the intensive offenders" of the "Freital group" were planning crimes.
The fitter is said to have rushed along under the code name »Schnuffi«.
Apart from the chat contributions, he was not involved in the planning of the crime;
Nor was he present at any further attacks or at the group's regular meetings.
L. had distanced himself from this past, no longer had any contact with this scene and completely changed his life.
The lawyer spoke of "active repentance".
The co-defendants also admitted the charges of the prosecution "in full" through their defense lawyers.
Simone S., a geriatric nurse, did not want to comment beyond that.
The Senate only learned from Sandro M., a salesman, that he was in the chat and that he was making the statements assigned to him.
From the point of view of the public prosecutor's office, they endorsed the purpose and actions of the right-wing extremist »Freital Group«.
In the summer and autumn of 2015, she carried out attacks on refugee shelters and political opponents in Freital.
S. had spread information about a left-wing attack on the protest camp against refugees.
With that he had provided the pretext for the attack, said Chief Public Prosecutor Fischer.
M., meanwhile, encouraged others to participate with chat contributions.
"Both failed to inform the police or law enforcement agencies and allowed for unhindered action."
For the Senate, the statements were insufficient as a confession.
"That's not enough for us," said the presiding judge.
The defendants should reconsider answering questions.
A co-prosecutor referred to the situation of the people in the house.
"You were scared to death of nibbling at it for a long time, and you are jointly responsible for it."
For the trial against the »second row« of the »Freital Group«, which will continue on February 10, seven more days of trial are scheduled until mid-March.
It will be the last criminal case against the complex that has preoccupied the judiciary for years.
In March 2018, eight members were sentenced to long prison terms.
Since September 2020 there has been a process against two alleged members and two supporters.
