Those who remained hungry after the first five episodes have "only" a few months to wait: Netflix has just announced that the last five parts of season 1 of "Lupine", the series with Omar Sy, would be available "this summer".

Currently being edited, these episodes have been produced by Ludovic Bernard and Hugo Gélin: the filmmaker of "L'Ascension" signed the first two and that of "Tomorrow, everything begins" the last three.

Started on November 12, 2019 and supposed to last until July 2020, the filming of "Lupine" had to be suspended during confinement in the spring.

It was therefore only completed on November 12, 2020, which delayed the "delivery" of the last five issues, produced by Gaumont, to Netflix ...

A season 2 in development

While the series is a hit around the world - it has been number 1 in Netflix's top 10 in more than ten countries, according to the platform - a second season is already in development.

If the project has not yet been signed, “everyone wants it,” said Damien Couvreur, director of original series at Netflix.

Launched on January 8, the series "Lupine" features Assane Diop (played by Omar Sy), a father who wants to avenge his own father, who died after being unfairly accused of stealing a precious necklace.

For this, Assane is inspired by Arsène Lupine and imagines an incredible burglary at the Louvre ...

According to Netflix forecasts, "Lupine" should have been viewed by 70 million people worldwide by February 5.

This estimate places this production ahead of globally successful series such as "The Bridgertons Chronicle" and "The Lady's Game" (63 and 62 million "views" over the same duration).
