Clubhouse is a live, audio-only platform where people get together to discuss a variety of topics.

There are no comments or written messages - all interaction is based on voice and nothing is logged.

Unlike the most famous Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, the only usable content are therefore sound tracks, a huge podcast container.

To join you must be at least 18 years old and have an iPhone.

An Android app is under development although it is not known when it will be published on the Play Store.

As soon as you enter, you come to a page where you can explore the different rooms created by your contacts.

This section is curated based on the interests and people you follow, indicated immediately after the registration phase.

Admission, at least for the moment, is by invitation only and requires registration with your mobile number.

If you already know someone of your contacts within the app, you can ask to unblock access.

Once accepted, by the will of the various organizers, we join the audience as a listener, with the microphone deactivated.

The moderators of the room can intervene as they like, as can each participant, by clicking the icon to 'raise their hand', very similar to what happens on Zoom, Teams and Meet.

Despite the numbers cited by the company, the invitation system and the relatively young age of the app, launched in April 2020, still make it a social network for the few.

Yet it promises to eliminate, from the start, those privacy problems that have been gripping the digital giants for some time.

In the last few hours, the Privacy Guarantor communicated, with a note on the body's website, that it had opened a file against Instagram and Facebook, after the one addressed to TikTok, following the death of a 10-year-old girl due to unclear circumstances.

Conceived in the midst of the pandemic by former Pinterest and Google employees Paul Davison and Rohan Seth respectively, Clubhouse obtained a loan of approximately $ 100 million from venture capital firm Andressen Horowitz, for a total valuation of over $ 1 billion.
