For over 100 days our abductees have been held captive by Hamas. A number that simply cannot be grasped, even when you try hardest. The design world responded very quickly, with thousands of designers creating, painting, embroidering, sculpting and decorating, expressing the range of emotions in an attempt to digest the indigestible.

Like everyone else, October 7 caught the girls of Material Gillers, a ceramic design studio, stunned, helpless and very sad. "The cannons thundered, the muses were silent.
For several weeks we tried to understand how to proceed from here and where," says Adi and Shai, the studio's owners.

"When we finally entered the studio, looking for meaning and a little comfort for ourselves, we decided to just do what we know: 239 glasses. We asked friends who were reservists, farmers and residents to bring us land from the envelope area and we used it to wrap the cups we prepared."

The two toiled for almost eight weeks, sitting on the stones and making 239 cups. Each cup is handmade. Unique. Painted in the soil of the envelope, remembering and remembering all those who survived, those who fell or were murdered on the local soil, and those who must return.

The bottom of the glasses bears the seal of the project and reminds us of the purpose for which they were designed and created by the Material Girls. The completion of the project kissed the 100th day, which gave it a particularly moving and painful validity. All proceeds from the sale of the cups go directly to the headquarters of the abductees, in the hope that we will see everyone here soon in the coming days.
