More than a week of events to get to Holocaust Remembrance Day and remind everyone what the Shoah was. For this year, which falls on a Saturday, the day on which the communities observe Shabbat, the Union of Italian Jewish Communities has planned several important moments in the rest of the week. On 27 January, the online conference 'Towards Holocaust Remembrance Day: the meaning of words'. On 17 and 21 January, the Journey of Remembrance to Auschwitz with the winners of the national competition "Young people remember the Shoah", together with Minister Valditara.

On 22 January it will be the turn of the press conference at Palazzo Chigi. Thursday 23 will open with the ceremony to celebrate Holocaust Remembrance Day and the awarding of the competition "Young people remember the Shoah", at the Quirinale in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. On the evening of the 25th, the closing moment, with the concert at the Auditorium of Rome "L'infanzia rubata".

Several events have been organized by the foundation of the Shoah Museum, where the Jewish Community of Rome will be present, among others. On the 25st, at 21 p.m., at the Auditorium della Tecnica, the presentation of the documentary "Stories of the Shoah in Italy. The Righteous." While on the 20rd at the Sapienza University, in the Aula Magna of the Rectorate, Sami Modiano will meet the schools of Italy in the presence of institutions, high school students and university students. 23,500 students from schools all over Italy will be connected.

On January 000 at the Maxii, as part of the project funded by the UNAR - National Office against Racial Discrimination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the stop in Rome includes the presentation of the traveling exhibition "From Italy to Auschwitz" with a conference by historians Thomas Schlemmer and Marcello Pezzetti, in the presence of the Minister for Equal Opportunities. On the evening of the 25th, after Shabbat, the community of Rome organized a concert of Italian Jewish classical music at the Jewish Museum of Rome.
