Urgent fruit recall at Edeka: Internal injuries are imminent

Once again, Edeka is affected by a recall. Several fruit products of the own brand, as well as Gut&Billig had to be withdrawn from circulation.

Kassel – Several products of the Edeka supermarket are affected by a recall. It is not recommended to consume various products from the frozen food section, as individual packages may contain black plastic foreign bodies. The soft fruit products were mainly offered at Edeka, as well as Marktkauf and can be returned in the affected stores.

The Edeka supplier Lukowa Food AG is recalling several products. Produktwarnung.eu reports on this and shares the corresponding company notice. More precisely, we are talking about different types of frozen berries. The fruit was immediately withdrawn from circulation. No proof of purchase is required to return the berries, the purchase price can also be refunded without proof of purchase.

A total of four frozen berry varieties should be avoided for preventive reasons of consumer protection. Affected are raspberries of the brand Gut&Billig in a 500 gram bag, as well as the raspberries of Edeka's own brand from the 300 gram box. Furthermore, the cranberry-berry mix in the 300 gram packaging from Edeka, as well as the 500 gram bag of the Gut&Billig berry mix, will be recalled.

Berry recall at Edeka: Own brand and Gut&Billig affected

The black plastic splinters in the various frozen berry products at Edeka can lead to serious injuries to the mouth and throat.
