Great shot for Cyril Hanouna's show.

Former Béarnais MP and ex-Elysée contender Jean Lassalle will be a columnist in “Touche pas à mon poste” (“TPMP”) on weekends starting in February, the host announced on Friday.

Jean Lassalle “accepted our proposal” and “will be there from the premiere” on February 3, welcomed Cyril Hanouna on the air, emphasizing that the future columnist did not “even want money”.

“He has already come” to TPMP and “he is not funny, he is extremely funny, but he is not only funny”, according to Cyril Hanouna, who made the other columnists guess his name on set.

And to assure: “Other names are coming which are incredible” for his show which will be broadcast on weekends, in addition to the week, for a duration of ten weeks.

TPMP, which mixes entertainment and current affairs debates, is regularly accused of populism, accused of favoring clashes or even of conveying false information.

It attracts 1.8 million viewers on average, according to Gérald-Brice Viret, number 2 of the Canal + group, to which C8 belongs.

Investigation into rape and sexual assault

Jean Lassalle sat for two decades in the National Assembly, under the label of the UDF, then the MoDem and finally his Let's Resist! movement.

Mayor for 40 years of the village of Lourdios-Ichère (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), champion of rurality, the double candidate for the presidential election did not stand for re-election in the last legislative elections.

He justified his decision by “medical imperatives”.

In the summer of 2023, Jean Lassalle was one of the candidates in the second season of the investigation game Les Taîtres, broadcast on M 6. The same year, he appeared in the cinema in the comedy “Super-bourrés”.

He is also the subject of an investigation for rape and sexual assault, for facts dating back to 2010. In this context, he was heard in a free hearing in November in the premises of the Bordeaux judicial police and emerged free.
