A 60-year-old woman who was on vacation in the missionary town of
Puerto Iguazú
was arrested in the last few hours after spending
more than 400 thousand pesos
with a credit card that she found and did not return.
The scammer, originally from Buenos Aires, made purchases in clothing, lingerie, perfumery and grocery stores.
She was reached after a complaint from her victim, a 75-year-old woman.
After the complaint, the Police began an investigation that included social networks and direct communication with business owners in the city of Las Cataratas.
It was thus that around 7 p.m., after scanning the 911 security cameras and providing film records from the stores,
the Police identified the woman.
The woman was arrested in a local business after being detected by security cameras.
Neighbors in the center of Iguazú alerted investigators about the presence of the accused in a business located on Perito Moreno Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, the agents arrested the woman, who was lodged in police headquarters at the disposal of the Criminal Justice Department.
On the other hand, a survey of the businesses where purchases were made was begun, according to the cut sheet issued by the banking entity, to reliably determine the sum of the expenses incurred.
