About ten missiles were fired in western Iraq against a military base hosting American soldiers and troops of the international anti-jihadist coalition.
Iraqi police and US army officials told AFP.
Several "ballistic missiles hit Ain al-Assad air base" in Al-Anbar province, a US military official said, speaking on condition of anonymity, stressing that "an initial damage assessment" was underway, but that the “preliminary” information indicated that “one member of the Iraqi security forces was seriously injured.”
