A passenger experienced the worst nightmare of any window seat passenger on an airplane, after the passenger next to her invaded her personal space so he could take pictures outside the plane.

A video of the blatant invasion uploaded by surfer @sterlingsavannah, who recorded the passenger using her cell phone placed on her lap, gained over 6.6 million views on TikTok, to which she added the caption "Don't people know what personal space is, and that you can choose a window seat?"

The accompanying footage shows her sitting uncomfortably by the window, as an elderly passenger in the middle seat repeatedly reaches past her face so he can take pictures of the scenery outside with his phone.

Since she apparently did not want to confront the invader of her space, the passenger wrote that "my only option was to stare out the window."

"It is very important to be able to stand up for ourselves"

TikTok commenters sympathized with her plight, although many wondered why she didn't confront him about his behavior.

"It is very important to be able to stand up for ourselves when someone makes us uncomfortable," declared one commenter.

"Another option is to look him in the eye and let him know that he makes you uncomfortable. Try it. It frees you to stand up for yourself."

Others suggested that she simply close the window shade.
