This is much better than the previous year (+38.5%) but remains very far from the levels reached before Covid, where they could sometimes exceed 100 million admissions. Half were recorded in Russia, a country that has become the leading export market for French cinema. The sector is not affected by the sanctions put in place after the start of the war in Ukraine, but competition from major American studios, which no longer release their films there, has disappeared.

The film based on the globally successful animated series has many more admissions abroad than in France itself (1.6 million).

The sector is not affected by the sanctions put in place after the start of the war in Ukraine, but competition from major American studios, which no longer release their films there, has disappeared.
