This product, which resembles real sugar in appearance and smell, is actually made from erythritol, a sugar alcohol that serves as a sugar substitute.

Erythritol has about 50 to 70 percent of the sweetening power of conventional sugar, but contains almost no calories.

It can also easily be used instead of sugar in baking.

Baking the crispy breakfast granola is so easy

  • While the oven preheats to 180 degrees top and bottom heat, first heat the coconut oil in a large pot.

Then remove the pot from the heat, add the remaining ingredients to the liquid oil and mix everything together well.

  • Now place everything evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Mix the muesli with a wooden spoon every now and then while baking and don't let it get too dark.

  • After removing, allow to cool and enjoy straight away or fill into suitable containers.

    Bon appetit!

  • If you still have oat flakes left over after making your own homemade granola, they can easily be baked into nutrient-rich crispy cookies.

If you would rather avoid sugar completely when baking your crunchy muesli, you can sweeten granola with ripe bananas instead in a sugar-free recipe.
