Brexit was "damn right" and it is a "model for Germany that sovereign decisions like this can be made", so there could be a referendum on a German Dexit from the EU.
The leader of the ultra-right AfD, Alice Weidel, said this to the Financial Times, as reported by Zeit.
Weidel explained that AfD wants a reform of the EU's "democratic deficit", but that "if the reform is not possible, if we cannot restore the sovereignty of the EU member states, then we should let the people decide, as they have done the United Kingdom".
