Whooping cough has spread significantly in recent weeks in certain regions of the United States and the United Kingdom, health authorities across the Channel and across the Atlantic are concerned.
In Suffolk County (New York State), 108 cases were recorded in 2023, twice as many as in 2019, the last year before the Covid pandemic.
The vast majority of them, schoolchildren and their parents, fell ill in December.
In England, the number of cases has almost tripled compared to each of the previous two years!
