A day without major upheavals but positive for the Milan Stock Exchange: the Ftse Mib index closed with an increase of 0.87% at 30,338 points, the Ftse All share increased by 0.86% at 32,485.
However, the stock markets of the Old Continent all increased, with the Stoxx 50 index of the major European stocks at the highest levels since 2001: the best stock exchange was that of Amsterdam, which closed with an increase of 2.4% thanks above all to Asml which traded 9 % after tripling orders in the quarter.
Frankfurt also did well, growing by 1.6% with Siemensenergy rising by 8% after better-than-estimated quarterly data, while Madrid was positive by 1.2% and Paris by 0.9%.
London closes the ranks, up 0.5%.
The price of gas on the Amsterdam market, a reference point for Europe, is accelerating strongly: after Qatar hypothesized delays in deliveries of liquefied natural gas due to the attacks in the Red Sea: the future with delivery in February closed up by 6% at 29 euros per megawatt hour.
On the other hand, the spread between 10-year German BTPs and Bunds was calm, closing slightly up at 155 basis compared to 154 at the start.
The yield on the Treasury product is at 3.89%.
In this context, in Piazza Affari, huge purchases on MPS, up 4.9% to 3.39 euros on the return of the dividend, with Hera growing by 3.1%, Saipem by 2.9% and Erg by 2.5%.
Strong banks, with Intesa growing by 2.2% and Unicredit by 1.9%.
Diasorin, on the other hand, fell by one percentage point, Campari (-1.8%) and Tim fell by 1.9% to 0.28 euros after Vivendi's letter to the European antitrust in which it contests the role of the Ministry of Economy in the purchase of the network by KKR.
