These days, the plan to build the tallest tower in the United States is taking shape, and surprisingly, it won't be in New York or another big city - but will stand out in the relatively pristine skyline of Oklahoma City.

This is what the New York Post reports last night (Tuesday).

This is a plan of the real estate company Matteson Capital (Matteson Capital), which is establishing the complex in the capital of Oklahoma, which includes 4 mixed-use buildings. According to the company's initial planning, the tallest tower among the four towers was expected to reach 1,750 feet (533 meters), which was making it the second tallest building in the country behind Manhattan's Liberty Tower, also known as the new World Trade Center after the fall of the Twin Towers.

However, the company recently decided to make the plan even more ambitious and add several tens of meters to the tower, so that it reaches a height of 1,907 feet (581 meters ) - which would make it the tallest in the United States and the fifth in the world, dominating the pristine skyline of Oklahoma City. In addition, according to the Oklahoma City newspaper, the addition of the floors is to be used as a unique promenade for visitors, with a restaurant and observation deck.

"It is a symbolic height, which honors the year in which Oklahoma was accepted as the 46th state of the United States," Matson Capital explained the ambitious decision.

Is Oklahoma ready for skyscrapers?

The planned project covers about 465 thousand square meters, and includes a total of 1,776 housing units, two Hyatt hotels, apartments and an area of about 10 thousand square meters for commercial and community use.

Located in the state of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City is home to approximately 680,000 people and is considered one of the fastest growing cities in America, jumping to the 20th most populous city in the country last year.
