Taiwan has detected the presence or passage of a total of 33 military aircraft and 7 Chinese naval units around the island in the last 24 hours: the highest number since last January 13, and of the 13 aircraft they crossed the so-called "median line" which conventionally but unofficially marks the border between China and Taiwan: a border not recognized by Beijing.
This was declared by the Ministry of Defense of Taipei, causing the counting to end at 6am local time (11pm Italian yesterday).
According to observers, this is an intimidation in Taipei in view of the talks in Bangkok between Foreign Minister Wang Yi and the American National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, also dedicated to Taiwan.
Last September, according to Taipei, the record was broken, with the sending of 103 planes in 24 hours around the island, which Beijing considers one of its rebel provinces and says it is ready to reunify with itself even with the use of force, if necessary .
