Ignacio Torres
, governor of Chubut, blamed the
Mapuche Ancestral Resistance (RAM)
this Sunday as the initiators of the voracious fire in the Los Alerces National Park, which has already consumed almost 700 hectares.
“The most worrying thing of all is that there are
indications that the fire was intentional
, there are several igneous sources with the same characteristics,” the official said on Radio Rivadavia.
The governor assured that they will go
"thoroughly with the tools to evict the criminals
who today are occupying our Los Alerces National Park" and asked the Justice Department to take "an
exemplary measure
" for those responsible.
“We must separate the Mapuches from the Mapuche Ancestral Resistance (RAM), who
are criminals
who have
a real estate business
and take land in Neuquén, Río Negro and Chubut.
We must put a definitive stop on them,” he highlighted.
The fire in the area began two days ago and due to unfavorable weather conditions, it spread until it burned around 700 hectares of Los Alerces National Park.
