The extreme heat will continue at the end of the weekend and that is why the National Meteorological Service (SMN) renewed for this Sunday several of its
alerts for high temperatures
for areas of at least ten provinces, including the south of the province of Buenos Aires .
Temperatures close to 40° are expected.
According to the information from the Service provided on Saturday afternoon, a red alert is in effect for this Sunday on the coast of Bahía Blanca, Coronel Dorrego, Villarino and Monte Hermoso, south of the province of Buenos Aires, in the center and west from San Luis, west of La Pampa, northeast and south of Mendoza, north and center of Neuquén and north and east of Río Negro.
In all these places, the maximum will be around 38°.
In parts of Mendoza, La Pampa and Neuquén, alerts for extreme heat and also for heavy rain are combined.
In addition, there is an orange level warning for the northwest of Mendoza, part of the east of Neuquén, the center of Río Negro and the center and east of Chubut.
For its part, a yellow alert applies to the south of the province of Buenos Aires, all of La Pampa except the north, part of Mendoza and San Luis, south of San Juan, south of La Rioja, Neuquén, Río Negro, center and east of Chubut and south of Santa Cruz.
