The first injured Palestinian children arrive in Ciampino - Last minute

Highlights: Ten Palestinian children and one adult arrived at Ciampino military airport at 9.34pm, with an Air Force C130 from Al-Arish. They will be treated at Italian hospitals, accompanied by their family members. The special flight arriving from Egypt is part of an operation that will continue in the next few days, for the overall transfer of one hundred injured Palestinian minors with their companions to the Bambin Gesù hospitals in Rome, Gaslini in Genoa and Meyer in Florence.

Ten Palestinian children and one adult arrived at Ciampino military airport at 9.34pm, with an Air Force C130 from Al-Arish, accompanied by their families.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will welcome this first group of children.

Four children disembarked at Ciampino to be transferred to the Bambin Gesù in Rome with their companions.

The flight continues to Pisa where six more children will disembark, three of them to be transferred to the Gaslini hospital in Genoa and three to the Meyer hospital in Florence.


    The special flight arriving from Egypt is part of an operation that will continue in the next few days, for the overall transfer of one hundred injured Palestinian minors with their companions to the Bambin Gesù hospitals in Rome, Gaslini in Genoa and Meyer in Florence.

The Vulcano ship, where the children who arrived this evening have already completed triage operations, is currently hosting another 19 children.
