Milan is racing towards the construction of a new facility in San Donato.
In fact, yesterday the purchase of the land necessary for the construction of the plant was signed in the area called San Francesco in the municipality of San Donato.
An important step by the Rossoneri club which feels the urgency of having its own stadium.
The acquisition is part of the 40 million euros allocated by Milan for expenses relating to the project and which include the documentation for the application for urban planning variation, the purchase of the land and other legal aspects.
While Milan, with the Sport Life City company which it owns, formalizes the acquisition of the land, the Municipality of San Donato respects the phases foreseen in the timetable finalized to the program agreement.
In January the council decided on the feasibility of the proposed urban planning variant for the San Francesco area, on Tuesday the mayor, Francesco Squeri, informed the councilors of the project's developments and on Wednesday in the Region "a new preliminary technical-operational discussion took place in the field of planning dedicated to examining in depth some functional steps for the launch of the Program Agreement", as stated in a press release from the Municipality.
Then next week, on the evening of Tuesday 13th, the discussion will continue with the other mayors of Southern Milan who are involved in the project for the new AC Milan stadium.
"Sharing and operation - explains Squeri - are the fronts on which we are engaged in these days and which will characterize the approach with which we will face the path that will lead to the Program Agreement aimed at the possible construction of the Milan stadium. It will be our responsibility to inform and constantly involve citizens and the realities of the territory, as demonstrated by the agenda of these weeks which records a constant comparison with the different components of San Donato".
