Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to Villa Pamphilj for the Italy-Romania intergovernmental summit.
The two will sign a joint declaration and make statements to the press before the official lunch.
The ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Defence, Business and Made in Italy, Environment and energy security, Infrastructure and transport will take part in the plenary.
In the afternoon the summit will continue with a business forum at the Farnesina.
