"There is an ongoing campaign of targeted aggression and falsification which always accompanies political aggression. We cannot give space to those who adopt a rag-tag style, made up of vulgarity, approximation, arrogance and mystification. We must avoid giving space to these attitudes: things that concern Campania are decided in Naples and not in Rome and least of all in the rooms of the Prime Minister. I was told that yesterday the Prime Minister gave a performance with the adoption of that style I mentioned".
The president of Campania Vincenzo De Luca said this in a live Facebook broadcast, responding to the accusations launched yesterday by Prime Minister Meloni regarding the use of cohesion funds by Campania to finance festivals and events of little importance such as "the caciocavallo festival".
"The only one who offended with insulting statements was the prime minister, in public documents, not in stolen nonsense which in a civilized country counts for nothing", added De Luca, returning to the controversy over Meloni's statements on the demonstration promoted in Rome from the Region and Anci last Friday, with the governor's final comment-insult to the prime minister.
"Telling hundreds of mayors 'go to work', with tones of intolerable racism. The Prime Minister should have apologized to the mayors who represent millions of citizens, not because they were appointed as happens in Parliament but because they were directly elected. Those who say 'I don't care' to some regional president. We have known the subculture of 'I don't care', it would be advisable for the prime minister to get out of that subcultural climate. A few years ago the prime minister cheerfully led a procession against Covid vaccinations in Via del Corso I remember the demagogic outbursts about the abolition of excise duties, the limited number of students in medicine, everything was promised to everyone. That time should be over."
"Seeing as the Prime Minister brought me up, I thank you for your attention because you are making me the main antagonist of the government, but I am a modest craftsman of politics, not like you who are formidable. Now seeing as you are pulling me at stake, I would like to propose a public debate to the prime minister, give me this consolation: either he leaves me alone or we have a public debate. Don't run away, don't act like rabbits".

We are the region that has accepted the challenge of administrative results, transparency and efficiency".
