Inflation in Spain began to heat up again in March, increasing by eight tenths compared to February, up to 3.2%, four tenths more on an annual basis, due to the increase in electricity and petrol prices, according to the consumer price index announced today by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The CPI resumed growth after cutting six-tenths of a point in February to 2.8%, the lowest level since August 2023.
Underlying inflation, excluding raw food and energy products, fell to March by two decimals 3.3%, a tenth more than the general CPI.
